Do you know that for every single degree you fly off course, you will miss your target landing spot by 92 feet for every mile you fly? Meaning, a degree off course can land you in a different continent?
Are you aware that for a Speeding vehicle, Turning the steering a degree off your path, is enough to not just throw you off course but cause an accident that could lead to lots of casualties? Where you are in life is a reflection of the course your life is running on.

These little deviations, as negligible as they may seem, could yield catastrophic results.Just like the driving and flying scenarios, nothing ever happens by chance. NO marriage has ever accidentally glittered with romance, neither has there ever been any marriage that failed overnight. Failure generally comes from a series of small, correctable oversights. In the same vein, success is achieved by improving on the little tasks we engage in every day and on what we spend our time on. Are your daily rituals in tandem with your goals? Do they edge you closer to your desired results?

Now as a parent, how your children turn out in future is largely dependent on the little things we do for them, or to them. Paying attention to your child while he is speaking or hushing them up, giving him a pat on the back or a slap on the cheek, an encouraging word or “I always knew you would amount to nothing”, spending quality time with them or spending more time with your electronic gadgets, a peck on the forehead and a simple “Daddy/Mummy loves you” or “Hey! Go to your room, you’re becoming a nuisance”. These little things may seem insignificant, however, they build a picture of how the child perceives himself. Your actions will either make him feel wanted and appreciated, or make him feel he is “good-for-nothing”.

How do you know you are going off course in your parenting? In this part of the world, having a parenting coach is a luxury, however, you can create a FCM (feedback collation mechanism) in your home.

Some may believe their parenting style is best, however, you can have an accountability partner or coach that helps you stay on track on your parenting goals, vision and mission.
